Legalization - Waste Management

To the average person, the above photo (featuring 12 - 14 packages/products in varying sizes) doesn't look overly wasteful. Compared to the current standard held by the consumer industry, it isn't an absurd amount of packaging to look at.

Although when you consider the amount of plastics we are already dealing with, having just banned the use of plastic straws in parts of Canada, you can start to grasp the magnitude of what has just been added to the already growing plastic problem.

In this photo: On the left, is 3 months worth of black market packaging (4 plastic ziplock bags). On the right is 3 months worth of legal packaging (Roughly 2 dozen plastic jars, 2 dozen mylar bags and 2 dozen boxes of varying sizes) for the same individual.

We need to reform the system, if only for the waste management.

Things are getting out of hand.

I took this post from another page of mine, that would be better suited on Smoke.io

My Green tip of the day: don't ever buy crappy expensive Canadian Government weed.

In first place it is best, to not buy retail packages.
I already saved a ton of money for food and other things.

Unpacked shops become more and more popular and can compete in price against bigger retail sellers.

I assume to regulation you can't get a refill of your used boxes?

Sadly not everyplace as shops like that to buy from we have none in my local area, unless you are buying candy that is about the only thing that is easily accessible and no in a bunch of plastic packaging. Yes plastic is a problem, but thankfully there are some smart people working on alternatives, My daughter was in a science competition where her team made biodegradable glitter but there was 3 different teams that had inventions for different type of biodegradable plastics. From Straws to package wrapping. So hopefully soon we will see these items on the market. As this competition has brought many things to the market.

Why not hemp packaging.... filled with CBD that we can smoke.

I am going to design a hemp package that can be smoked or used to make high CBD Tea after it is used.

I have bags of Metal tins, plastic Security bags, tubes and containers. In Illinois I have not noticed any reduction in the platic the follows the Medical Consumers. Maybe there can be an exchange loyalty program...
