I got hold of some really nice hash yesterday - soft black - the beautiful kind I haven't had for a long time.
The character of the #hash is soft and squishy, and it breaks into the dark richness of a chocolate cake with glistening crystals. It smells earthy with the deep fragrance of plants and a waft of something sweet. I guess this 'sweetness' caramalises to an extent when it is heated, for this is what the resulting aroma of this hot hash suggests - but it is pleasant, and far from being a 'burnt' smell. On the whole, this looks and feels like high-quality Himalayan hash, Manali Cream or Afghan perhaps!?
If anything, it's not particularly easy to crumble - the last bit of hash I got didn't require burning. However, because this hash is so oily, heating it produces small bubbles on the surface and very sticky fingers, not to mention a significant droop. Not easy to access the go
odd ness inside - for example, it was difficult to focus on the bubbling effect with a shaky hand, and the image looks a bit like it ought to be NSFW, which in turn just emphasises the 'sticky finger' and other metaphors used above 🙄. Ha, guess the Hash Spirit is having a bit of fun through this current High ;-).
I prepared a joint of this playful hash. First, I rolled up and then placed seven little hash snakes of varying lengths inside the paper (RAW 11/4 width singles, unbleached) along with baccy and cardboard filter.
Then I took some more photos and sparked up, having set the self-timer etc.
Although engaged in the double-role of Observer and Subject of observation, as well as the technical role of cameraman etc, I tried to 'study' the effects of smoking the hash. The joint ended up being speed-smoked (producing smoke for the camera :) and I got whacked.
I started to feel the effects pretty much straight away. I had deliberately rolled a strong one as this ain't my first of the day and I'm 17/7/365(6) on the go 😌. Smoking this hash reminds me of the relatively few times I managed to obtain really nice hash in India. The amount I bought yesterday was 10 grams, which is the same as a Tola, the standard unit of weight for these kind of deals in India.
- Body stone - a 'heaviness' of limbs that gently presses groundwards. Pleasant
- Head stone - it feels expanded outwards: warm, pulsating and friendly; Crown opening
- The 'throat' effect - is minimal. This is not harsh hash (ha ha)
I'll be going back to get some more soon before this stuff runs out and a new batch arrives. I must say that this current supplier has produced the goods for me so far, and there is no bullshit around weights, quality or prices.
This post, a #review of sorts, was spontaneous and fun. Sun streamed in through the windows and joined the party, making space for some funky shadow work #photography. It's great to have the smoke.io platform to share this experience on, and it's great to have an experience like this that I can share. I like it, and hope you do too!
