Police lay pot charge after purchase on Tyendinaga Territory

A 26-year-old from Lansdowne has been charged under the provincial Cannabis Act, following a traffic stop in Tyendinaga Township this past Wednesday.
OPP say they stopped the subject of a traffic complaint, around 9:00 p.m., on Marysville Road.
Officers noticed cannabis inside the vehicle, within reach of the driver, who told them he had just bought the product on the Tyendinaga Territory.
Police seized 27 grams of marijuana and issued Paul Maguire two tickets, one for driving with cannabis readily available, which carries a set fine of $215 and one charge of unlawfully buying cannabis, which has a set fine of $180.

What if I get a seed in weed I buy from the government web site? Can I grow that? What a joke. Also what if I clone a plant and start a new one? So little thought put into these rules.
