I would like to sign this charter.

I would like to sign!

While we think the preamble may be slightly too harsh in wording, @cannaweedness is a proud signatory of the SMOKE witnesscharter.

Proud to sign this charter! We all as a group can work together to ensure we don't go offtrack and always keep SMOKE communities best interests at heart.

This is always a WIP and we are ALL want to work with ALL witnesses to make the charter work for everyone.

Brilliant initiative. Hope every witness signs this charter.

Do you have to be a witness to sign the charter?

This charter is geared towards witnesses. As such I don’t see how signing as a non-witness could bring value.

But that said, if there’s smoke members who would like to make a similar commitment going forward, maybe to also possibly position themselves better as reviewers/testers/promoters for future participating businesses... I think they should definitely discuss the idea and whether there’s potential value in it.

Personally I do have some random thoughts about that right now tho: too early, difficult to monitor self-accountability when becoming a big group, could get messy over “when is too much offtopic too much” and also personal interpretations of too much, etc etc...

When suggesting the idea self-accountability was central in the charter’s core spirit. Other than that everything should stay voluntary and “loose”. Example: the witness I am part of, cannaweedness, left an own “addendum comment” on this post. Such “loose” setup and spirit is easier to keep in a non-messy way in smaller not organized setups [because less egos lol].

Can't say it any better then @unnamed has said it here.
