Updates to smoke-indica.com 27th July

I've been working on trying to optimize the smoke-indica site today, are you able to notice any improvements in loading speeds?

Changes:

  • Upgraded the VPS from 1 CPU, 1GB RAM & SSD to 2 CPU, 4GB RAM & NVMe storage. This should reduce the 100% CPU locking issues experienced before.
  • Loop optimizations thanks to an user's suggestions in a recent post.
  • Implemented Google's PageSpeed Nginx module - this took a couple hours

The site is coming along nicely, any suggestions for improvements?

Cheers,
Indica

Thanks man, is it loading faster for you?

Yes it loads great, nice and quick. So are you going to include the posts comments in the future or are you going to send them to smoke.io to read them? Bong on bro.

Probably keep redirecting people to smoke for that, I could add disqus but I don't want to have to moderate it.

Super fast load on my end. It use to take its time before.

Nice work

Thanks man 👍

It is great to know about this for future preferences. Good job @indica.

Will work on getting to improve compatability with the chrome Web view on android, it looks like the lazy loading library is causing issues 🤔

·

I start to use chrome view on android / The home page display fine!

When I visit the site through the smoke/twitter apps which use the chrome Web view, the images within a post's header exceed the width of the page and some of the images within the post contents don't load. I'll look into alternatives to blazy image Lazy loading 👍

Site looks smart.
