Announcing Witness @xtetrahedron

Introduction:

Many of you already know quite a bit about me from reading my introduction post less than a week ago. What I did not tell you all is that my education and early work experience was in the field of network administration. I think I personally I have valuable skill sets, connections, and life experience that can contribute to the growth of the smoke platform.

As a witness, you can expect me to be quick to solve problems if they should happen. I am online and available most of the day through my smartphone and laptop, and I can be reached through many different channels such as discord, telegram etc.

I have been in the blockchain space since 2011, and I am in general a long time believer of blockchain technology. Here you can read an article from when I was interviewed in a Norwegian magazine about blockchain technology back in 2014.

Onboarding new users:

I have some good ideas for spreading awareness of the Smoke network to people over here in Europe. I plan to do this partly through my network in the psychedelic event scene. As some of you know I have been creating psychedelic gatherings in Norway for a handful of years. I am also the label manager of an electronic psychedelic record label. These experiences have given me access to a quite unique network of alternative souls in Europe and around the rest of the world.

Witness specs:

I got a couple of questions in the comments from @murda-ra & @easyrider about the specs for my witness. Stoned as I was when writing this post up, I totally forgot to include that whole part in my proposal.

I am currently renting two cloud servers (droplets) from DigitalOcean. My main active witness is located in Frankfurt, Germany. I have also configured a backup witness server in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Both of these are currently set up with 1 vCPUs, 2gb memory, and 50gb of storage with 2tb transfer. If needed they can quickly be upgraded all the way up to 4 vCPUs, 8gb memory, and 160gb of storage and increased transfer. All of DigitalOceans droplets are connected to a 1gbps connections pr physical machine. In the future, I have ambitions of setting up a dedicated server for the witness here in Norway.
