For today's weed news we go to the great state of Florida.

The state of Florida and their medical marijuana patients have been going through an extended legal battle for the right to light their meds on fire and inhale them. Just like in Ohio, at this moment, it is illegal for patients to consume their buds by smoking them. Fortunatly, it seems that Florida's new governor is fed up with the situation and has decided to do something about it.

Governor Ron DeSantis recently spoke at a press conference in Winter Park where he made it clear that he doesn't agree with the smoking ban saying "What the Florida legislature has done to implement the people's will has not been done in accordance with what the amendment envisioned... Whether patients have to smoke it or not, who am I to judge that? I want people to be able to have their suffering relieved. I don't think this law is up to snuff."

The governor also assured people that if the smoking ban doesn't get rescinded by mid March, he plans to withdraw the appeal to keep the ban in place which was filed by Florida's previous Governor Rick Scott. Now that DeSantis is the Governor, I guess he has the right to undo it.

Hell ya!

Another good thing about the situation is that the governor is not alone in believing that prohibiting smoking is wrong. Other lawmakers in the state, like Senator Jeff Brandes for example, have also spoken out in support of letting medical patients consume cannabis in any way they want, including smoking.

"What other drugs does the government tell you how to ingest? It's a doctor-patient issue. The government doesn't insert themselves they're," said Brandis.

So from the looks of it, all of you registered patients out there in Florida might finally get to smoke some bongs this year man!

If you ask me, that's one of the best ways to consume your medical cannabis.

Shoutouts to Governor DeSantis... You are doing the right thing bro!

And that's what's up in Florida!

This new development from the state of Florida is a good one .
Atleast when new law about mmj is approved by the governor properly and with the legislatures we shall all benefit from it.
I think they need to start seeing the important of weed consumption.

smoke to the moon!!!!

I agree its a doctor-patient issue and that medical patients should consume cannabis in any way they want, including smoking! Let's make this happen Governor Ron DeSantis!!!

·

Its not just that alone recreational ones should be adopted too

That's awesome mate, it's refreshing to see a politician do what they were voted to do instead of their own agenda. Thanks for the good news mate, bong on bro. :-)

·

Hell yeah man... I feel the same way. it is super refreshing to see a politician actually do what they said they were going to when they were campaigning. But when you think about it's pretty sad that that's the exception and not the rule that they do what they said they were going to. But I can't understand why, if the state already has medical marijuana laws would their former Governor Rick Scott want to keep them from smoking weed when they can already buy it and have it and eat Edibles and all that shit. That doesn't make any sense to me

·
·

It doesn't make sense to you because you have a brain, it probably makes perfect sense to them because they are compromised idiots, Lol. If everyone keeps hitting them over the head with their stupidity, we might manage to knock some sense into them . Bong on bro. :-)

As a medical patient, I don't think smoking is a good thing, it's not a healthy option. However, for some people it's all they know, it's all they are used to. Lets promote healthier habits, but lets let people be free!

·

Much respect for the balanced argument. Of course I agree that there are healthier options to smoking, but I am vehement against anybody telling me how to consume my cannabis at the same time. Let's promote healthier habits indeed!

Shoutouts to Governor DeSantis... You are doing the right thing bro

He's surely doing the the right thing....hopely patience who love consuming their cannabis smoked will be free to do so in a short while

·

Exactly, but I think they really have a chance this year

I will say a big shutouts to cannabis enthusiasts in Florida with great optimism that they will be free soon to smoke some nice strains

·

They got that tropical climate so I imagine Florida grown cannabis strains are probably super tasty to smoke!

Just let people be FREE!

·

OMG YES! Thank you @purpleflowers!!!!!!!
