Although I live in the Bangor Area, the epicenter of the COVID-19 Pandemic outbreak is currently in Portland, Maine, but its effects are far-reaching and creeping toward my backyard in Brewer, ME. We are currently under home-confinement.
The Maine State Governor, Janet Mills, enacted a law today that affects all citizens of the State of Maine and even those trying to escape the virus and entering from such states as New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut where the outbreak is extremely high with Military resistance.
The city of Portland and Governor Mills has enacted a statewide "Stay-at-Home" order and Civil-State-of-Emergency with the Interstate I-95 being heavily monitored for violators trying to escape the 14-day self-quarantine.
The situation has gotten so severe in the State of Maine that the Maine State Police are warning citizens not to be vigilantes by forcefully stopping vehicles that have out-of-state license plates, in fear of bringing the Coronavirus into their home state because most of these vehicles are rented by Maine's citizens from rental companies working for large corporations trying not to bring the virus back home to their families.
As a matter of fact, the Maine National Guard and Maine State Police are on high-alert for such offenders, and this is how just quickly it is affecting Maine's largest city, Portland.
I also received some bad news myself. Yesterday, my aunt in Ohio passed away due to COVID-19 at the age of 65? This also has me questioning my own safety and some self-questions like what would happen to me if I suddenly got it and fell off the face of the earth?
My inspiration for stepping forward to reveal my first name in a time such as this came from the talented artist who draws on rapid paper @Adelepazani, who also recently posted a picture of herself. It is nice to match a face with the person behind the words or artwork and any other type of post on smoke because we are kinda like family here.
And thank the Cannabis Gods that the Dispensaries are considered an Essential Business because I got hooked up today!
