Marijuana has a very close relationship with Hinduism. Cannabis is usually associated with Lord Shiva in particular. According to Vedh, a Hindu's sacred text, Marijuana was one of five sacred plants and a guardian angel lived in its leaves.

"Shiva" is one of the three major Gods of Hindus. And people believe that "Shiva" discovered Marijuana. Shiva smokes marijuana, Shiva Loves Marijuana and so does his followers.

P.S: Of course this video isn't mine and I am just sharing it here for an informational purpose. And hope all you smokers enjoy it. Thank you!

Interesting, can you smoke freely on a "Mahashivaratri" Festival day?

·

Something like that, they don't announce it officially, but let people smoke freely.

Given its ties to religion, I'm surprised it's not recreational legal in India..
