Thanks to new regulatory approval of statewide cannabis delivery, cannabis is now available everywhere in California, also in communities and councils which have banned sales of it in their own locality.
Until now large parts of California have no or no near access to Cannabis despite the state’s approval of use, due to the absence of dispensaries which are banned in many areas.
The approval by the California Bureau of Cannabis Control consolidates the 2016 state law Proposition 64, the Adult Use of Marijuana Act, removing misunderstandings about conflicting regulations. As expected the ruling faced wide opposition by police chiefs and the League of California Cities, and is even expected to be challenged in court.
Opposers object that the delivery rule may undercut local control and regulations. The new ruling now makes cannabis accessible to adults anywhere in the state thanks to home deliveries.
No Amazon Prime drone deliveries in sight yet.
