Flew Shot is the title of my serial posts about whatever random things a g'won. From writing about blogging to promoting my podcasting career, curating music & art to writing about sociopolitical issues, I'll create one of these at least weekly, often more. I will also sometimes use specific tags and communities for these posts.
Monday morning hustle and bustle.
Mondays are always an interesting topic. There have been songs written about it, Manic Monday by The Bangles. I wrote a song about it, see below. Interesting to note what a neat little mind trick the word is. Monday is the day of the moon. Stems from ancient times when civilizations regarded the heavens more in their spirituality. We often associate the moon with night even tough it is occasionally visible by day. And we use terms like "Monday night". See what I mean?
This is just one of the many cool little tidbits I picked being involved with a masonic lodge in Brooklyn, New York and Atlanta, Georgia for about a decade many years ago. I will often share some of those mind fillers with you here. And if those things intrigue and interest you to any extent, think about checking out some of the cool talk shows on MSP Waves sometime.
On Monday nights as a matter of fact, @r0nd0n, whom I call the god of @mspwaves, hosts his own show where he often toasts the darker side of the global political theater with drink after drink of an alcoholic beverage and then you might catch him in the mood to take over the station and play a very eclectic mix of, what to me is, rare rock and blues.
@orlev hosts a show just before mine every Thursday (or Thor's day) called The Discomfort Zone, where he so eloquently and soothingly discusses many popular alternative theories about the origins of mankind.
And it would be wrong for me to bring up Thursdays and not mention for those of you into the harder side of rock and roll music, @crimsonclad is on one hour after me with Full Force Radio, all things heavy metal, industrial and all related subgenres. She is an excellent DJ and host with many years of podcasting under her belt and it shows.
This Monday morning is a particularly anxiety provoking ne for me. I am here writing this while contemplating what I must do before the "end" of the day. As I explained in previous posts, I am working double time to prove to the state's of New jersey and Florida that I an in fact living in what should be deemed adequate and stable housing so that a probation offices is not forced to issue a violation which could result in my arrest and subsequent ruining of my family's, presently, very successful, healthy and happy lives.
I am tasked with having to pen a very standard letter from my landlord to whom it may concern confirming that I indeed live at this address. Then I must have him sign it and I have to email it to Officer Marshall in Ocean County, New Jersey. That ought to make everything right. However, until now I had no reason to disclose much about my past to my landlord, Rabe, with whom we have an excellent relationship, best landlord I've ever had and hope to maintain for years to come. I am uncertain how he will react to learning that I'm on probation. He's a cool guy. A family man and respectable business owner with whom my family and I are looking forward to growing and sustaining business with well into the future. Wish me luck, fingers crossed and all that jazz...
