It never before has happened and I never expected it would. But today I got judged by the person who sold me my long papers. For god-knows-how-many-times I asked the woman from my tobacco shop for OCB unbleached Slim Virgin with tips, she never felt like ordering them. Even though I know that I am not the only one in my neighborhood who prefers them. I never really cared about it. I get them somewhere else and if I can't I simply use the Gizeh papers she offers. But today when I asked about the OCB papes, she said:
I explained that there are different reasons.
I assumed she wouldn't need an explanation why the unbleached paper would be something to consider?! And perhaps that's where she felt I would be judging her. Or that I caught her not spotting the obvious. Whatever it was I went on to explain that the thinner the paper the longer it lasts. That thick paper would burn faster.
She interrupted me:
I smiled at her. And nodded. And thought to myself:
I could tell her that time doesn't exist.
