30 percent of the POTUS are believed to have smoked #Marijuana for recreational or medical purposes. While under the average of 40% of people that admit to smoking weed, it’s still an interesting fact to keep in mind while debating issues about Cannabis use in America.

If you know the Dark History of Marijuana Prohibition in the United States, you know that it began as a way to demonize immigrants.

The stereotypes that gave rise to paranoia about "Reefer Madness" first targeted the people displaced by the Mexican-American War from 1946-1848.

The Major General in the U.S. Army and the Hero in the Mexican-American War, Zachary Taylor often describes Smoking Marijuana With His Troops, in his battle chronicles.

He was the 12TH POTUS, serving from March 1849 until his death in July 1850. Taylor As a result, he won election to the White House despite his vague political beliefs.

His Prime Priority as president was protective the Union, but he Died Sixteen Months into his term, before making any progress on the status of slavery, which had been inflaming Tensions in Congress.

His success within the Second Seminole War attracted national attention and attained him the nickname "Old Rough & Ready". In 1845, during the annexation of Texas.

He was the military general, that didn't care about being president. He was also the second president to Die in Office.

Old Rough & Ready (1849 - 1850)

Is It Difficult To Believe That "Old Rough & Ready" Smoked Weed?

The Daily Beast reports that Zachary Taylor is also rumored have smoked marijuana with his troops, while the Miller Center explains:

From that moment until his election as President, Taylor was in the military, stationed at a succession of frontier outposts.

I believe he smoked the weed because :

  • Smoking Marijuana with his troops was "About the only good thing" in the war.
  • Weed help him cope with war & alleviate PTSD though.
So It is safe to assume that Taylor, like Franklin Pierce, smoked Cannabis.

Because racists made the case for cannabis prohibition in place of segregation. It's absolutely disgusting; I hope those responsible continue to rot in hell for the suffering they have inflicted upon millions of people, the absolute pricks.

It is a pity that he did not have time to try,, modern varieties of medicinal plants.

·

It was a good 100 years after he was gone that serious strain development took hold, they probably smoked very low THC strains.
