RUCKUS? ...They hardly knew us.

There are so many restaurants in the Boston area, and I'm sorry but returning to any of the ones I have previously reviewed just isn't the fastest way to cover all of the city's many delicious treasures. However it has been said that slow and steady wins the race

IMG_9957.JPG

and I'm steady-ordering spicy soups.

IMG_9962.JPG

Plus somebody, who I shall leave unnamed, recently read about the really rockin' Rap-Ramen @ Ruckus restaurant in Chinatown.

IMG_9963.JPG

and made me bring them here.

IMG_9961.jpg

No it wasn't the terrible mayor of some college town somewhere, who thinks that cannabis is whiskey,

IMG_0009.jpg

It was somebody whose company I enjoy very much, but still have to be a bit of a ganja ninja,

IMG_9999.JPG

when in their company.

This is, for me, where the Vapes really shine. They have been such a game changer, and are helping toward the goal of "un-stigmatization". I look forward to a day when you can proudly take a birthday bong hit with your dad, just like you can enjoy a beer with him now, without being treated like a dirt(yhash)bag.

As sad as it is, that cannabis is still being demonized and LIES in the shadow of stigma, A fully charged vape pen complete with fresh cartridge affords one a certiain

IMG_9616.JPG

....confidence.

IMG_0038.JPG

Sadly today I have neither a full tank or fully charged unit, but thankfully there is enough of a charge and goop at the bottom to earn the win. :)

IMG_0015.jpg

After going into stealth mode, and I and eyes with redness, we finally make it to the noodle house where somebody was blasting some time honored Wu Tang classics.

IMG_9968.jpg

and the ramen folks were in full swing.

IMG_9964.JPG

I got the Lamb Stir Fry and my secret friend got the Kake Udon,

Very clean and interesting space inside the restaurant. Everybody is very friendly, and the food is Amblazin! (amazing when you're blazing)

IMG_9974.JPGIMG_9975.jpgIMG_9976.jpgIMG_9978.JPG

Well we left Ruckus and decided to go check out Chinatown for a second.

IMG_0043.JPG

They just celebrated the Chinese New Year,

IMG_0039.JPG

and apparently,

IMG_0028.JPG

we are in the year of the Rat.

IMG_0033.JPG

I guess it is fine to be a rat, just don't be a thief though

IMG_0017.JPG

IMG_0036.JPG

the silver light of the moon

IMG_9981.JPG

cake displays were everywhere

IMG_0047.jpg

and other interesting looking pastries

IMG_9982.JPG

Before leaving for the night we had to go to "A Goodmart"

IMG_9984.JPG

I needed some Skyflakes

IMG_9994.JPG

some ox tongue shaped cakes

IMG_9997.JPG

some rare soybean drink

IMG_0005.jpg

and of course some grass jelly

IMG_0002.JPG

and wash it all down with a cold capico

IMG_0003.jpg

well that's it. We escaped Chinatown with minutes to spare on the parking meter, and with reports of the meter zombies circling nearby... we will SEA CUKES next time

-thanks for reading.

Great Post :)

·

Thank you for all the support

I smiled when I saw the Skyflakes photo.. this is a product from the Philippines. When I was a kid, my mom would include a pack in my school bag to munch when I felt hungry. Your great post reminded me of good old memories....thanks for sharing!

·

I appreciate you posting that memory thank you do you know if by any chance the “sky flakes” was a reference to the manna of the Old Testament with the Hebrew Israelites?

·
·

Oh that I am not familiar with... the crackers had been around in the country before the WW II began and became popular worldwide later.

I have been studying the true origin And identity of the Hebrew Israelites, And that’s pretty interesting and Might be a clue
