It's been a long time since I have been in a corporate chain restaurant.
I don't mind being called a food snob but seriously, these days a visit to a corporate chain instead of a struggling neighborhood favorite is immoral.
I do sometimes visit great local restaurants that have multiple locations in the area. Chilacates is one such local chain.
the importance of the vibrant and privately owned restaurant scene to the local economy cannot be under stated. Also with all of the amazing restaurants around it would be foolish and a lost opportunity to go to corporate burrito, instead of Boston's Chilicates location in the historic South End.
Chilacates is great, very fresh and the folks here are professional and keep it moving in this busy neighborhood.
I decided to take this joint for a walk around the brownstone adorned neighborhood while my order was being prepared
Lots of fancy dogs and weed clouds around this part of Boston.
I had also been snacking on this PINEAPPLE Jolly Rope I only ate about half but was definitely pretty zooted
I went with the Chicken Burrito, which was amazing.
The Lemon Skunk also was very good and The food was the perfect compliment to my pineapple rope- induced high.
Very Fresh, very nice, and over the top service
Chilicates Mexican Street Food ...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
