It's about time finally I put some more of these out. #Music is I believe a very important part of enjoying decent kush, bud, green, weed, blow, resin, dabs, or whatever varietal you choose - you're gonna need some decent #tunes to see you through a decent high! So let's get on with it, a bang up to date tune today from a living legend, none other than Ian Brown.

Easy's choice of the day - Latest single

Ian Brown - First World Problems

from the new album ‘RIPPLES’Nov 2018

Back to Easy's Youth: early+mid 1990s #indie, #psychedelic, flower power, acid house, summer of love .. it was all happening and Internet wasn't a thing yet when Ian Brown came on the scene with the Stone Roses. Today, he's still rocking out class tunes.

Artist background: Ian Brown

Sometimes known as the 'monkey man', (based on appearance, he seems to thrive on it however so nothing cruel!), lead singer and ringleader of all time legends The Stone Roses, a band from an era of great renaissance for guitar and dance groove led indie in the early 90s, in fact as early as 1989 were the only band that mattered. The Stone Roses to this day, are probably my favorite indie band of all time. I've seen them perform at least 3 times, more if you count different band line-ups and festivals. I saw them before they broke up ... at the end when they were off peak, and after a reunion, when they were brilliant.

Does today's featured artist partake in the finest herb known to man?

This is a question I have decided to start answering in my future #DeeJay posts. No bias on whether they do or don't but Ian? Quite likely knows what is good or bad for himself, I've heard people claim to met him and he'd have a lot, unverified. You'd deff-oo have him round for a smoke tho, wouldn't you. WITH tea and biscuits.

Ian Brown has made a spectacular appearance in late 2018 with this new single. I'm yet to hear the rest of the album, yet I am dying to so much I almost just went ahead and purchased the vinyl on Amazon. Realizing my record player is thousands of miles away, Spotify it is for now. (Link somewhere below). What a top bloke Ian Brown is for featuring @easyrider in his lyrics. I’ve highlighted the verse below. As some YouTube commenter said, if this was a Stone Roses track everybody would be saying they still got it - but it's solo, and likely the better for it.

Sing along now … you know you wanna …

Lyrics

[Chorus]
There you go again with your first world problems
Where your living is easy
Messing up your mind the daily grind, gotta leave it all behind
Driving everybody crazy
[Chorus]
There you go again with your first world problems
Where your living is easy
Messing up your mind the daily grind, gotta leave it all behind
Driving everybody crazy
[Verse 1]
I, I'm an early riser
Wake up let the sun go to my head
Hey, just hypnotize ya
Walking like your boots are made of lead
[Chorus]
There you go again with your first world problems
Where your living is easy
Messing up your mind the daily grind, gotta leave it all behind
Driving everybody crazy
[Chorus]
There you go again with your first world problems
Where your living is easy
Messing up your mind the daily grind, gotta leave it all behind
Driving everybody crazy
[Verse 2]

I, I'm @easyrider

Watch me as I ride and glide away
Say, still might surprise ya
Disappear come back another day
[Chorus]
There you go again with your first world problems
Where your living is easy
Open up your mouth and making sounds, but there's nothing coming out
Crying like a new born baby
[Verse 3]
All is a distraction by design
A trick of smoke and mirrors to steal your mind
All is an illusion, mired in confusion
Codex Alimentarius
[Chorus]
There you go again with your first world problems
Where your living is easy
Open up your mouth and making sounds, but there's nothing coming out
Driving everybody crazy
[Chorus]
There you go again with your first world problems

Where your living is easy
Opening your mouth and making sounds, but there's nothing coming out
Driving everybody crazy
Driving everybody crazy
Driving everybody crazy
Hands and knees and oops-a-daisy
Driving everybody crazy
How do you get so f- lazy?
Driving everybody crazy
Everybody crazy
Crazy

·

thank you, sir

Something refreshing, definitely like to take some new styles of music. New styles for me that is.

·

Thanks man, glad ya like it

Really chilled music. I really like the video, it has something. Cool

·

they always had it, taking the old stuff and making it psych was what they invented in the late late 80's ;)

·
·

You can tell by the video clip.
Really great music.

Haha great shoutout to you my friend, as you ride and glide away singing "All is an illusion, mired in confusion".

In the 90s when I first heard the Stone Roses it was in a pool hall we used to go to and every time I was there the jukebox played "I want to be a Dog", which is how I 'heard' the lyrics as a stoned 20-something until I learned otherwise lol 🔆

·

That's one of their top most tunes ever you called out ...

Back in the day I used to get weed specifically in order to listen to this ... on vinyl!

·
·

Listening to it now....at high vol :)
