Backyard Cannabis Farming 2019 - Episode 10: Organic Pest Control Applications, Flushing, & the Delicate Healing of Nutrient Burn Combined with Potential Root Rot

last year

Today's episode is all about organic pest control, and how to proceed with delicate growing situations. The products I used for organic pest control are called Azamax, Safer Soap, Lime Sulfur, & Neem Oil, were all diluted with water, and applied using a 2 gallon hand pump sprayer.

While my pest control sequence that I explain in the following video was extremely effective, killed all the aphids, and in all likelihood will prevent future aphid and mite attacks, the nute burn/lockout issue continues to be a problem.

I provide a few examples of how the plants are reacting in negative ways, the delicate nature of flushing out excess nutrients from overfeeding, while also giving enough time for the soil to dry all the way. You must wait to flush since potential root rot could occur from extra moisture being retained in the soil longer, due to a non-uptake of water and nutrients from the plants (salt build up from excess nutrients in the soil around the roots cause this).

I will be implementing this product during tomorrows watering to assist in unlocking nute uptake and heal/prevent expansion of potential root rot. This will also provide a boost to the microbial ecosystem around the roots, improve aeration and drainage of the soil, and assist in flushing out salt build up and excess nutrients during this extended flushing stage. - Anyone ever had any success treating nute burn/lockout/root rot with this product? Please reply if so.

I like your work

Thank you for your appreciation.

Excellent tutorial series 👍

This series has so far been very helpful and interesting for all preparatory cannabis growers.
I do want to know however, if the above pesticides mentioned are for general pest control or if they are for typical diseases peculiar to maybe area or season..
Thanks so far....stay stoned

The Azamax is for mites, Safer Soap for Aphids (spot test this product first), and the lime sulfur is preventative for most unwanted bug types. - All organic products :-)

When I get them all healthy again it will be amazing.

Love your pics. What kinda hip hop you into bro?
I love Canadian Hip Hop and Junior Mafia.

I am into conscious revolutionary underground hiphop, mostly creating tracks with other humanitarians and eco-activists. I prefer Professor Griff's acronym - Higher.Infinite.Power.Healing.Our.People. - H.I.P.H.O.P.

I am about to release a new track in a few days, and then a music video soon after to go with it (my first one). Bless up.
