@WRITER43 RECOMMENDS THIS AWESOME TRACK WHILE READING!
First and foremost, Happy 420 to all stoners, even to my good friend @Darian! After writing articles day and night it seems like since last week, I was finally able to take some time for myself on this very stoned 420 afternoon and do some overdue gardening projects. My 420 day started off at 4 am with a job due by noon, 4 cups of coffee, and three spliffs, and I managed to be at the dispensary when the sliding glass service window opened at 9 am to get my 420 provisions and member's perks. I kinda like it. It reminds me of getting ice cream! Yo, put some shatter on that, and don't forget the free jibbers bitches, it is 420! And now onto other pressing matters:
Much like @Tecnosgirl mentioned in a recent post, life gets busy and things go neglected like the monster in my closet. This tri-clone was ready to be put into flower as soon as I finished harvesting my first crop of F1 Sour Diesel; however, due to COVID-19, more people are shopping online, so my writing business has seen a dramatic increase as clients are looking to add current blogs and revamping their websites in order to meet the demand for home-delivery products like CBD Oils, Kratom, and you wanna believe it, @Cannabis!
This shot gives you a better idea of the 2ft extension that I added to the bottom of my 2x4x5 tent, which is now a 2x4x7 tent. The increased ceiling height allows my plants to grow taller without tapping out at the light. I haven't had the time to add more reflective material to the new framework, but it doesn't really matter because nothing grows below the scrog net due to the fact that I Lolipop everything below it simply because I don't care about popcorn nugs!!! I want all of the energy and nutrients that I feed it to go to the top where it matters the most.
As you can see, this F1 Sour Diesel Tri-Clone fills the tent by just being dropped into the 2x4ft hole, but I am not done. This monster needs to be taught a quick lesson! It needs to be subjected to the scrog net, not only for width but an even canopy as well. An even canopy is a key component to the development of equal-sized nugs across the field.
As crude and barbaric as this may appear, give this 3-days, and it will look totally different because the @cannabis plant by nature will turn upwards toward the light. The results are an even canopy with each main cola receiving an equal distribution of light. I use King Plus 1000 Watt LED Dual Spectrum Lights for both my veg room and flowering tent. My landlord calls me the Electricity Nazi. My utilities are included with my rent, which is $1,250 a month, so you wanna believe I'm gonna get my money's worth!
Cutting clones, is not rocket science; however, there are some things that one needs to pay attention to, and that is cleanliness. It is important to sterilize your cutting area, scissors, and razorblade of choice. I prefer a snap-blade, but holy-fuck, these bitches are sharp, do not grab it by the wrong end as my dumb and stoned-ass has done!
At this point, take them out of the hot water, let them cool down for about 15 mins, and do not put freshly cut clones into an inferno because they will die. I like to use the end of a sterilized ball-point pen and poke a hole into the middle of the starter plug to open it up after it cools down.
When it comes to cutting a clone, it has been my experience that size does matter. For example, if one were to try and grow a clone of the size below before the cut above the 1st node and above the 2 major fan leaves present based on the selection of one's cut, it can result in a loss of energy and oxygen, which can both starve and kill a young clone such as this. The smaller the clone is, the faster it will root; therefore, not only improving its growth rate but also its success rate.
After one slices the stem at a 45° angle, use the razor blade to rough up the cut to the point where it looks like chopped liver. Then dunk that bitch into dechlorinated water (always use dechlorinated water for any type of watering situation) and dunk it again into to some rooting hormone powder .
No joke, this bottle cost about $10 USD, and I have used it extensively for 4+ years cutting numerous clones and it's still half full! Back to business, the survival of your clones is dependant on this shit as well as trimming the leaf tips off. What this does, it allows your clones to receive more oxygen and promotes new plant cells, which ultimately stimulates new root development.
Once you dunk the clone into the rooting hormone, immediately stick it into the starter plugs. I like to firmly plant them by pressing and pinching down on the top of the plugs. This ensures the raw ends of the cuts are married with the soil inside of the plugs that freshly-cut clones need in order to develop new roots and grow into mature plants.
To my @Groot fans, since the main character in The Dark @Cannabis Knight, @Unnamed is AWOL for whatever reasons are personal to him, as a writer and my friend, he knows the story must go on with current smoke.io members; therefore, The Dark @Cannabis Knight has been replaced with an unlikely character. Please stay tuned for part 6 of The Dark @Cannabis Knight.
