Grow tent update week 5

It has been 5 weeks since my tent arrive

And the difference it has made in a successful start is the difference between night and day. Too many uncontrolable issues when you are trying to grow in a closet like unseen roof leaks causing to much moisture and humidity. Thankfully that issue is patched and a perment fix will happen when warm weather hits. But my girls are growing taller and stronger each day.

The day after my last update

I woke to a humidity jump to 82%. I still don't know what caused it but I added a fan and opened up the tent till the humidity dropped. Then I ordered a dehumidifier. It arrived the next day and I put it in the tent since then my humidity has been at acceptable levels.

The neem oil did it's job

What ever was eating on my big plant is not eating on it anymore since I sprayed the neem oil. I sprayed twice and it seems to have done the trick. I inspect multiple times a day to ensure no bugs and no mold growth. The girls are doing a fine job at growing for me.

I still have them on the 18/6 light cycle

I want to get them to 8 weeks before flipping them so we have about 3 weeks before that happens. It is so exciting to watch them grow. The tent smells wonderful already. Like a big bag of some dank dank smoke. I look forward to harvest time and reaping the benefits of what I sowed.

Till next time stoners

It is 4:20 somewhere so puff puff pass

Neem?

There are so many non-systemic, non-oil based ways to control insects, please resist the urge to use neem. There really is zero need for it with cannabis.

If you must use neem, please be sure to inform those you share your cannabis with. I for one would have to decline. Though I do not have true CHS, I do have CHS symptoms when I use cannabis tainted with neem oil or azadirachtin(the extract of neem).

I have been aware of Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome for 10 years now. Since becoming aware my specific issue is with neem/azadirachtin and not THC, I have become aware of how rare CHS actually is.

Neem + Cannabis = Poison for an estimated 2+Million people
Almost every single person I've spoken with, and advised they get rid of neem/aza cannabis, has been able to use cannabis freely again. Zero CHS symptoms. Only a tiny number of these people still have issues with cannabis, including THC isolate by itself. They definitely have CHS in the true sense. The remaining 2Million+? My estimate is we're all aza/neem sufferers.

Congrats! :D

Growing can be a bit bumpy at times, glad you're getting things handled well. :) You may want to look up Low Stress Training(LST), and start working on the tallest plant there. :)

Using canopy management methods to keep an even layer of flower sites, will really increase yield and quality for you. :D

I am not looking at trying to do any fancy techniques I just want a successful grow for my first time and I did research different ways to treat and I use neem because it's organic and it's natural and as long as I don't use it in the budding State it's fine to use during the vegetation state from what I have read those issues only happen when treated during the budding state but chemical treatment that isn't organic is not an option for the things that are available near me this time of year it was the safest to use. Though other products since the growing season is upon us will be available. I couldn't wait for an online order and risk infestation that ruins them completely.

Once my first grow is successful I will play with stressing and other techniques but experience should come before playing with techniques IMO that is why so many first time grower have failed crops because experience helps to understand techniques. Plus what works for one grower might not for the next as there are some many conditions at play. A grower I know germinated in soil that doesn't work for me so I germinate in paper towels. He swears by his method as I do by mine because it is what works for each one of us.

I'm autistic and my diplomacy is a bit off, but I'm only here to help. :D If you're amenable, I'll continue. If you're not up for it I'll leave it alone.

LST is not fancy. I'm not advising anything technical or challenging, simply steering you in a better direction. You can increase the joy of your first harvest without any stress. ;) I did a quick search and came up with a tutorial on LST with decent pictures. You'll see it's rather simple. :)

You don't know anything about neem and cannabis, you just started growing. Stick to letting others know you used it for now, while you do your own research. You're going to find there's a vast amount of information most growers are unaware of, thanks mostly to prohibition.

I've spent the last week working on a post detailing how simple mites really are. If you're interested, I'll make sure to let you know when I put it up. :) There is zero need for neem, or any other systemic poison in a cannabis grow (organic or not). Period. Cannabis is a phytoremediation tool.

I'm rather well aware of what works with cannabis, I've worked with it in many different setups the last 15 years. I've also worked with growers in many locations around the planet, so you can rest assured I share what works globally. ;)

When you gain a greater awareness of the cannabis plant, you'll find you can germinate in nearly anything. :D It's really an amazing plant when you get to know it better. :D

I strongly recommend all new growers pick up a copy of my book. I detail the variables which control quality in cannabis, which gives you a great map of which topics to research the most. You'll advance the quickest, with the fewest issues. :) "Secrets to Growing Trichome Dense Cannabis

Anything to me is fancy other than making sure all the conditions are right and trimming when needed. I am gonna attempt clones and those are the ones I plan to LST. Anything else at this point is too fancy. Anything I grow the first time I take the cautious route. I find it is best to do that. Last year I tried a new plant with a suggest techinque and because I didn't have experience I messed it up. Experience give confidence that I have not racked up yet on this plant as a grower. But when I get ready to closer to starting the next grow, I am gonna be wantimg tips and tricks that work for people when they LST. But right now I am focusing on the basics. As the getting the basics down is part of how I learn.

Understood. Keep BEing Awesome! :D

Though I do appreicate the advice. Just sharing my reasoning behind what I am doing

I sometimes have the same problem with the humidity; so I added a small dehumidifier and it works great. I am so extra cautious with the humidity and temperature so I can avoid bud rot, etc and mold.

The tent set up looks fabulous!!

Love this one it works without power and when it needs to be refreshed you plug it in till the beads in the window turns back orange.

Buy medical marijuana

·
·

I have been tired of the price when I can grow my own. And all marijuana is medical some just use it recreationally. And just like all medication some medication is better than others.

Have you tested Royal Gorilla strain.

I been smoking weed for 34 years now. I use so much cannabis to stay out of pain most people can't keep up with me even people who are experienced smokers. But yes I have though I think the strains it comes from is better than what it created.

I have never smoked the purple weed, I wonder how it would taste and feel.

These are not purple that is the full spectrum bulbs that are giving that color to them.

Well, there are so many issues one has to take care of while growing. And i was hoping for my plants to grow just because i placed them in the pot. That is why it is said that Experience is priceless. Btw, yours is a very nice grow.
