Purple bliss clones

First purple bliss clones. Trying something new this time by putting them from the Aloe water right into soil. Normally they go from Aloe water to a jiffy puck.

How do you clone? Do you use soil or jiffy? Or maybe another way?

I use Jiffy pucks and currently doing some Christmas cactus's.

Yeah they seem the most common form to start clones.

Is the cactus hard to clone?

It is prone to root rot, easiest method is to cut after a point you notice roots starting(shoots out between leaf nodes on this variety) then let dry for 24-48 hrs and just as it starts to “shrivel”(reacting to no water source) then stuff into wet puck only soaking it when nearly completely dry ... easy enough once you realize the trick of shriveling to entice water uptake stopping the root rot
