All Lost, Time to start fresh

ALL GONE

Saturday was a sad day for me, I woke up and it was like any other normal day, That was till I went to check on my tent. I went a unzipped the front open and there it was, all white spots a shit load of them, all over the leafs. My first thought was anger, than I had no one to blame but my self.

So I went and I checked the clones and guess what they are the same maybe even much worse. So what I am thinking happen is I killed some when I treated but they came back and as I stopped treating it came back worse.

Here you can see I took a couple photos but not many I was to mad and never had my phone when I noticed them.

I was going to keep a few like the autos but I think the best move was to just start fresh and keep the preventive mold measures handled right from the start.

Here is the after video of the tent and me start to put some back in and trying to figure out what the best set-up might be for my tent. I also go on to show off that I got a 2x2 tent from a friend of mine for the cheap price of $25.

I am wondering if growing inside a tent is creating too much humidity. I grow mine in the open air in the basement and cover any mould I see on the soil with coffee grounds. Acid kills the mould..... So far no mould on the plants. Fingers crossed ..... Just an idea.

The problem with a tent is that a single spore can multiply exponentially if not killed immediately. Any bit of mould is trapped inside the tent.

·

It doesn't matter really the size of the space if you manage to keep your temp and RH where it should be, and if above all, the air in that space is constantly being renewed. A potent extractor fan is very important and the tent should be placed in a space that is not to humid.

·
·

Definitely. I just try to create my outdoor experience since that is the only place I have ever grown weed until this November.

You can spray a neem oil base early on veg. It’s not that bad of an infection

·

Neem oil is bad for some people, I was just sick the whole thing I would have never rid the spores if I kept growing and cloning in that tent and that could lead to a waste of more seeds

·
·

Honestly, it is very sad what happened but you did what had to be done, mold is a bitch to get rid off once you have it, a fan will just spread it further. Although there is a light that is quite effective against mold but it will cost you over 300$(at least in Europe)

Am sure you have learned your lesson, let's make sure you don't get it again

Do you have an extractor fan to take air out of your tent?
What are your +/- temperatures and RH inside the tent?
What are your +/- temperatures and RH outside the tent?

Make sure you wash that tent and everything that suppose to go inside it with bleach before starting again, and above all don't worry its a pity but you need to go through this problems for them not to happen again

·
·
·

Yeah mold is the worst to rid. I figured best wss to stary fresh with a completely clean room tent fand lights pots. Every is washed down with hot water and bleach.

Tent temp was around 24c avg and humidity 25% +/-

Those plants came from seed or clone? with that RH (too low by the way should be at around 50% with 24ºC)its almost impossible to get mold, if it came on clone form, with that RH am sure the clone had it already.

Do you have an extractor fan on your tent? air needs to be renewed

All mine come from seed. I do have a fan taking air out . The mold came from me a while back and I should have done this then and didn't

·
·

use a mask and spray it on the plants every week untill the first flowers appear. After that u can still put some garlic for the last 2 months. It will keep them away

Hi @SkylineBuds! Sorry about your babies. I have a couple questions though. Would the mold growing on the plants have killed them eventually? Second . . . what's the name of the treatment that you use to prevent the mold?

·

The mold will kill over time and just keep infecting my whole grow. Every new plant would like end up with mold at one point.

As for the preventive having lots of fans and then I have been reading a weekly apple cider vinegar foil spray will help.
The biggest is fans and keeping it out at first

·
·

Maybe run a heater too. A heater will bring down humidity

·
·
·

Humidity qas always low like 25 range

Thanks for posting this! Can you explain a little bit more about it? Is it powdery mildew? Maybe my eyes, but they looked healthy to me.

Sucks though. All that progress lost. But looking forward to seeing your new cleaned up setup

·

These photos are taken after I cut them down and they were in a bag.

The white spots are worse and a few had pure white stems by the bottom.

I

Noooooo RIP! What about the solo cups? D:

·

I think that's what he meant by clone.

·

I cut them all, it had small amounts on the leafs but I wanted it all out of the house. It was the hardest one to lose cause I knew it was gonna be a awesome challange

·
·

Gutted, mate.

I am sorry for you buddy. That hurts to see some ladys be killed. I used a 2 *2 m tent too, my syszem was hydro see of green. I had no problems all the time. I had a verry good airchanger inside and a 80l whater tank. I recommend that system for you. I had verry good times with this system. I dont like grow on earth... ,, some guys hate me now.. ;c) i had never problems luke you and others. I hope your next run wil be better and maybe you show us what happends next. With nem nem oil and soialetzitin you can make a good save.

This same thing happened to my farm too, I almost cry yesterday when I came back from the hospital and find out my canna have die. They haven't grown enough for me to make use of them too, and this happened because I was sick in bed some days ago. Sorry for the lost man. We learn, we grow.

·

Shit man that really sucks, It don't take long for things to turn with any plants cannabis even more so

That sucks starting over! Too bad it wasnt caught sooner. Since the mold was in the tent make sure to scrub the whole thing down inside, just to make sure none of the spores are around. I had a mold problem once, before i added fans and made sure not to foliar spray as much and it came back till i removed everything and scrubbed it all

·

Yeah, I have washed everything down and cleaned it all my whole room for that matter is cleaned to make sure it is gone.

Damn, that sucks. A feeling a lot of us have gone through. It does sound like a moisture problem. Could try a dehumidifier.

·

It is a hard thing and it is best I did it now then when all are in flower that would have been way worse. I think it was a lack of air movement in the tent. the gauge said 25+- humidity but I have gotten a second gauge to test that when I set it all back up

Fuck man that's terrible :( Hope this never happens again! Wish I had advise to give but I can't grow so idk

·

Thanks it does suck for sure, It is a lesson learned tho

Sorry for your loss bro, it must be hard after all that effort you put in, that sucks mate. So do you have any ideas of where the spores came from and how to stop them from coming back. Bong on bro. :-)

·

It really really does suck but this is all a learning thing for me for the future to make sure soon enough I am growing only my own.

they are from before and reading it is likely from lack of air movement .

·
·

It's a real shame mate. I was thinking maybe some of it could have something to do with the difference between the super cold outside and being warm inside the tent. I hope you can find a solution to this problem mate, bong on bro. :-)

·
·
·

That very much could be it does drop when it is open for a while, I have tried to keep it on the warmest spot to

That was indeed a bad experience, I think the tent might have caused it. Open air is the best option when growing. And you should abide by that. Sorry though.

·

Many people grow in tents, It works when the air is not stale and I think that and the cold is the reason mine got mold

Im sorry to hear about that. Is that a fungal infection? If so then it might be from humidity.

·

Yeah, it is a mix of things fro before and just never kept handled and needed to just lose it all to clean everything

·
·

That would be a good idea I think.

Well i am not much into cultivation but i guess this is some serious disease that hit your plants. Hope you make a full recovery from it and really sad for your loss.

·

It is treatable but not curable without a full clean

Sorry about your plants buddy! This is so sad, I know you've invested much effort and time, well don't let it ruin your day, there is always a solution.

·

Ah Yeah, I already know it is going to be a lot of learning. time to start a fresh grow

A long time ago when I was able to do this I had it happen to me. My condolences.

·

Thanks, It happen to the best I read.. Today I will start fresh going to get the seeds going today

I would treat the mold with simply spraying all the leaves with simple water...of course,if the mold is too far developed..there is no possible way to save the plants! Outdoor grow especially with dutch weather in october,is often diseased by mold...yet,because of the strong wind...if one chooses a more windy spot to plant, everythings gona be alright!

·

See that will treat never rid the tent of mold tho

:(
