Grow, Learn, Repeat (Mother Earth and Papas Candy grow diary/part 5)

I knew when I started this grow that the possibilities of bugs showing up were high due to the time of the year, I was not wrong, red mites showed up.
Luckily I used a bunch of natural predators as a preventive messure, "Neoseiulus Californicus" to be more precise, one of the main characteristics of these predators is that they have fun destroying the red mites webs, and that is exactly what they are doing, I can see bite marks but no web. I cannot see the plants too damaged, or any kind of slow growth, so it seems this solution allows growers to live with a red mite plague.

It is middle of the 6th week for both strains, and the difference in growth between the ones under LEC and the ones under HPS is very noticeable, much bigger stronger growth under the LEC systems, and for now I can see very similar aspects regarding trichomes and resin production. I am aiming at 8 weeks flower for the Papa´s Candy and around 60 days for the Mother Earth strain

Both strains are quite hungry, and I have the feeling that using Mammoth P allows for bigger EC, I ´ve aimed at 1.8EC as a max, but maybe will higher up to 2.0EC in the last week.

In this episode am also trying other features of my Iphone X camera, lets see if you like it ;-)

·

Thanks once again Sister, you never know maybe next winter when you are in Spain we should meet at Spannabis

Lovely dude! Just the info I was hoping for. For sure I'm getting one of these ceramic metal halide kits, heard lumatek has a great one out as well, what brand do you use?

I am using this Dimlux, but to be honest, looking at the way LED systems are evolving I would put my money there, check this Sananbio, I ´ve seen it in action, 2 grams X watt and the most beautiful plants I ´ve seen in ages. If you are in the US they cost around the 1K US$ here in Europe is close to 2K

The first photo is just superb. I want to smoke this weed.=)

·
