Amazing Pink Pistils Of Amnesia Platinum

last month

Happy Sunday Guys!

Lately, I have been working in my container garden on the top terrace, harvesting the veggies as well as defoliating some of yellowing leaves of the weed plants. I cleaned-off the terrace a bit since the growing season is nearing to an end for my tomatoes, cukes, aubergines, bell peppers, strawberries and the raspberries.

The weed plants needed cleaning too....those lower branches needed to be removed and cut simply because there were just leaves and no buds on them. Some thoughts tho, the nutrients they get should better go to the buds.

Amazing Pink Pistils Of Amnesia Platinum

Today´s images were taken yesterday.... they show-off the amazing pink pistils of this strain, the Amnesia Platinum. It´s my first time to see such pistil colors that are turning from white to pink and then to purple. I think the purple color has something to do with the ph of the water and in no way implicates effect of whether high or low potency of the nugs. I guess it has more to do with the chemical reaction of the plant to the nutrients.

I gave an update 3 weeks ago of this Strain in my post Amnesia Platinum and at that time , the plant was not as bushy and as densed as it is now. If you like...go have a look to see the difference. Right now, the colas are huge and buds are still growing and I guess the harvest will be in a couple of weeks.

So I hope you would scroll down to see the growth of this weed... I will surely give an update when the harvest is due....

Purple can also be a sign of temperature shock, but then it would have spread to the leaves too. Normally, AFAIK, nothing to worry about as long as your water's PH is correct and stable.

·

So this is not normal. I thought it's good sign... @unnamed

·
·

No, it is not normal behavior. Pistils go from white to orange to dark orange/brown.

But, genetics are not always clean and only the top breeders and seedbanks which truly focus on genetics (and phenotypes) like Strainly tend to have a guarantee that a plant is the actual strain you expect. Only the breeder can say whether this is normal behavior for teh strain, and that only if the strain is pure and wasn’t pollinated. Even then, in nature things (abnormal behavior) can happen.

Like many things in nature pH is very important for cannabis. PH should always be the first check.

But those plants look healthy. Barely any yellow leaves, all leaves healthy green, no curling or drooping leaf tips, no visible spots on the leaves. Nice trichomes and pistils seem to get nicely “milky” too. Maybe it is a “purp” strain.

Now, I know the behavior, thank you for your time in explaining that matter. More knowledge everyday little by little steps.

Is that the real color or you edited it to pinkish? So amazing @indaymers. Is it the result of having a healthy growth? So curious, can't wait the time for my turn. What a good things, you never use chemicals so it is really safe.
Good for you @indaymers

It is the real color of the pistils...there are buds like that and sometimes the leaves become purple too...

So beautiful and nice! Your hardwork will be paid off during your harvest.
