Look at all that goodness!
I have been trying to think of healthier and healthier edible options. If any of you remember my post about it—one of my favorite after workout treats is mixing my decarb’d hash or tincture to some guacamole. Here I ventured into options for pre workout edibles. I do a lot of intermittent fasting & I often work out before my first meal. I like to coat my stomach with SOMETHING however so I typically drink a protein shake and then smoke my flower. Combining a simple recipe found online with my decarb’d hash available to me at my local dispensary (tincture is a fine option too!) I am able to customize my medication regimen & give myself another preworkout dosing option!
Feel free to read the recipe to tailor this how YOU would like! I followed the “Almond Joy” recipe although I used M&Ms instead of chocolate chips cuz that’s what I had at home. Here’s the steps I took:
I started with 1/2 CUP ALMOND BUTTER.
I added my debarb’d hash (all 1200mg) right to the almond butter and mix it up for about 3 mins. This all natural almond butter I used was packed with oils to absorb my medication.
1 CUP ROLLED OATS
2 TABLESPOONS CHIA SEEDS
1/2 CUP UNSWEETENED COCONUT FLAKES
1/4 CUP CHOCOLATE—this is where’s you could add your weed chocolate. This is a very easy way to keep the mg of each energy ball lower.
1/4 CUP ALMONDS (sliced or crushed)
1/3 CUP HONEY (or maple syrup)—AND this is where you would substitute your weed honey.
1/2 TEASPOON VANILLA
1/4 TEASPOON SALT
STIR IT UP & REFRIGERATE FOR 30 MINS.
I ended up with 15 (large) balls. That weighs out to approximately 80mg per energy ball. I can eat an entire dose or easily adjust this dose by cutting each ball into halves or even quarters.
WARNING: the first time I ate one it took a good 2 hours to set in. Edibles are different for everyone, but I’m usually feeling them in about 60-70 mins.
