Canna Choco Muffins + Recipe - To Munch Or Not To Munch ?

Hey Smokers!

Let me share with you what I baked today.... I had free time and I wanted to relax by baking something for the sweet tooth. Baking is for me a stress reliever as cooking is to those foodies juggling ingredients in their woks. Today, I am sharing grandma´s recipe that I enhanced with decarbed canna ground leaves.

The pieces of the chocolate that got melted inside the muffin made the dough so soft and moist. It is very easy to bake, you don´t even need to have expertise in baking. Simply gather and prepare the ingredients and you could give it a try. I promise, it is so easy that you swear to make it again and again. This is one food idea to munch during or after the sesh when you are not too stoned, LOL!!!

Canna Chocolate Muffins

(makes 6 big muffins)

Preheat oven at 175 °C
Margarine to coat the muffin forms
or use silicon form if available.

5 tsp. melted Butter
300 g Flour
150 grams sugar or 7 tablespoon Stevia powder (sugar substitute)
1 tablespoon decarbed canna leaves/trimmings - ground
1 pck. Vanilla sugar
3 tbsp cocoa powder
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
a dash of salt
3 eggs
220 buttermilk
150 g dark chocolate bar - coarsely chopped

120 grams chocolate bar for coating
milk to melt chocolate
walnuts to top the muffins
berries - frozen (optional)

1... Preheat the oven at 180°C.
Coat each muffin form with butter then with flour, set aside. Use silicon muffin forms if available since it is easier to handle the baked muffins. Or you can also use paper muffin forms U(your choice).

2.... Prepare 2 mixing bowls.
In the 1st mixing bowl... Combine the dry ingredients... flour, decarbed ground canna leaves, sugar, vanilla sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt, set aside.

3... In the 2nd bowl..
..beat the eggs, add the buttermilk and the melted butter...add this to the 1st bowl of flour mixture using a spatula . Mix thoroughly until the dry ingredients get moist. Add the coarsely chopped chocolate, mix once more until the chocolate pieces are well integrated in the mixture.

4... Fill each form with 3/4 of the dough. Place the filled forms on the oven tray (middle rack of your oven) and bake for about 20 minutes under 175°C. After the baking time, remove from the oven and let the muffin rest to cool down. To check whether the muffins are done, insert a toothpick in the middle of the muffins, when it comes our clean, the muffin is done.
Tip: I used an aluminum foil to cover the muffin after 1/2 of the baking time. This will prevent the muffin top from getting burned or becoming too dark.

5... To melt the chocolate for coating the muffins, break the chocolate bar into small pieces, place in a bowl and add 1/3 cup milk. Heat in the microwave for about 1.5 minutes until the chocolate is dissolved...mix with a spoon properly until the chocolate and the milk are well blended. set aside and keep warm for easy coating of the muffins.

6... Place the muffins on a platter, scoop some melted chocolate on each muffin top to coat partly , top each with one walnut. Arrange the berries ( optional) on the plate. Can be served warm.

One tablespoon of decarbed ground canna leaves is enough especially when the trimmings are so potent.

See how the chopped chocolates melted inside while baking, this is making the dough moist when baked. It´s like oozing in your mouth.

I hope you will try this recipe and give me some feedback if

you have baked this.... Happy Baking!

Keep puffin for a high!
