Rolling Papers (Mascotte, RAW, Elements) & Other Smoking Paraphernalia

This is my entry for What are You Rolling With. The timing is excellent as I recently got myself a supply of #smoking papers and some more #weed and I have that warm comfortable feeling of sufficiency :). I had wanted to do a similar post anyways, and this will do very nicely indeed, thanks @jackdub and #cryptosmokers!

My rolling papers of choice are:

  • Cigarettes:
Mascotte extra thin, organic. I've been using them for 3 years. I bulk-buy boxes of 50 packs.
  • Joints:
(1.) RAW 300s 11/4-width singles : these are what I have been using more than any other for the past 5 years or so. Usually get 10 at a time which lasts me half a year or so. The length is perfect for 'just-me' joints and the extra bit of width allows for some nice coning to take shape.
(2.) Elements Ultra Thin Rice papers : These are very thin and don't taste of anything much. I recently bought half a box (25 packs) and I use them from time to time when I fancy a bigger/longer smoke or if other people are around (rare).

You may notice that all three papers listed above are with thin or very thin papers. I definitely like my papers at this end of the spectrum. In the days when I smoked communally, I never liked being handed joints rolled by the Green Brigade, and there were crazy numbers of them for some reason I never understood. Anyhow, thin papers for me; thinner the better!

As for what to put inside the papers! Well here I am in the land of Lushness atm, far from the moaning days of drought where water levels were so low that a barge could barely stay afloat 🙄.

I currently have three different kinds of weed in my possession. All are 'homegrown' and I don't know what any of the strains are in this bit of #nugporn as this info wasn't available from my indirect source.

Weed 1 : strong, bone-dry, with expanding highs and a taste of the forest:

Weed 2 : strong, sticky and smelly:

Weed 3 : the mildest of the three, very pleasant:

I have some very nice Himalayan hash and hope to get some more at the end of the month when I get paid if it's not already sold out.

I decided to roll two joints with the RAW 300s and Elements respectively. Since I was displaying the entire range of my stash I thought I'd reflect that in the joints too :). The bowl contains a mix of all three types of weed plus baccy. I rolled up a few snakes of hash and placed them in the bigger paper but left the other one with just weed.

RAW joint = 3 kinds of weed + baccy
Elements joint = 3 kinds of weed + hash + baccy.

The first half of this post was done yesterday, including most of the photos. Mum then came over and we went for a walk. This morning it was sunny again and I sparked up the big joint by the window in my new orange kurta which mum had brought over from India after her recent trip :).

That photography is on point. Love it. I really like the darkness to it.

Thanks man, that's great coming from you :) ..... I had considered using a tripod to allow more light in but was a little pushed for time and decided to go hand-held for all but the selfie. Had to bump up the light settings for most images.

Splendid first entry and opening of the contest. You have a lot of papers over there. Better safe than sorry! How long it's gonna last? Month?

·

LOL, tend to bulk-buy and this is recently acquired :) ...... more like 6 months ;-P
Thanks @cryptosmokers 🔆

Your setup is amazing...ant that hash with white frosty crystals...seems like some bubble hash? Hoe does it burn alone..melts or burns?

·

Thanks man, there was a lot of posing for the camera ;-). As for the hash, it's the same as the one in this post. I think it's good Himalayan hash and it does have the oiliness of bubble hash (although it's not nearly as concentrated as that beautiful stuff which I've only had a few times :). Can't really burn or crumble it, easiest to roll snakes/worms.

Enjoyable post .Great photo of hash..

·

Thanks Xen, I did a full post on the hash if you are interested in more :D

Awesome post - the pictures, the setup, the fixins, the papers and descriptions. Thanks for the contest entry :)

Thanks bro! Always very nice to see you around these parts 🔆

Elements rice paper all the way dude! They are just a joy to roll & smoke. Great post btw.

·

They are indeed! I didn't know they did the single 11/4 papers as well until I saw Technosgirl's post. Thanks @thecodelion 🔆

I am gonna have to go hunt up the big big pack of 500 they exist I swear they are hard to find but they do exist...

·
·
·

They must be hard to find as you say......I had a brief look but couldn't either. This is singles 500 x 11/4 is it?

·
·
·
·

yes it was but I found out just this morning after messaging a friend who owns a smoke shop that the reason I haven't been able to find them this year is that Elements discontinued that count size due to low sales last year. So I apparently told a fib as they no longer sell them in that count. :( I am sad I was gonna try to buy a pack of them.

You're quite a collector huh? Little-known papers and all sorts of smoke.io brand stuff you send out - it's great :)

I'll get myself some 300s lol. Good luck in your quest 🔆

the 300 count pack they sell every where around here. Okay maybe not every where but all of the smoke shops I frequent. Which is mainly the smoke shop my friend owns, but I also hit the one around the corner from my house because it is close by.

REALLY COOL POST MAN. tHE PICTURES WERE GREAT. DEPTH. WHAT DID YOU USE FOR SHOOTING THE PHOTOS?

·

Well I've got a Pretty Nice Camera which I bought second hand from a friend last year :D. I use a 40mm lens that does macros too. The light wasn't ideal and ideally, I'd have used a tripod to capture more light (and perhaps a bit less depth lol), but mum was coming round and I didn't bother! Thanks Francesca 🔆
