Do you get Stoned in Front of your Family and Friends.

Do you get stoned in front of your family and friends or do you have a smoke when no one is looking?

Me personally I don't feel very comfortable being stoned around the extended family members, but I'm fine being stoned around my closest family and friends who don't judge me.

Can your family tell when you are stoned or can't they tell the difference?

I think that I don't act that much different when I stoned and I think most of the time people tend to not notice anyway.

I would like to hear your opinion on this, if you have one, and thanks for stopping by for a chat.

I never get stoned around them, but I am very often stoned around them :P They just don't know, and they don't deserve to know either; those judgemental assholes.

Yep it's quite annoying when do-gooders just can't mind their own business, but I guess family think they have some born right to judge you. Thanks budman and bong on bro. :-)

It depends on the family.

So with my sister who smokes, she's obviously toking with me, so I would have no problem lighting up in front of her. She's probably been on shrooms more times than I've known while hanging out.

With my folks, on the other hand, it's a little awkward. I have smoked a spliff in front of them, and they've been around for some other smoking activity. The thing is they peer in like I'm some alien, or have lobsters coming out of my ears. I think they legit buy into the 'Reefer Madness'-style propaganda that I'm just gonna snap and throw someone out a window. They also give the impression that they're constantly trying to catch me smoking, so not the most comfortable people to be around during that activity.

My Mother asked, "Do you have to smoke?" Only if I want to be comfortable.

They're not great at telling when I'm high. They give a lot of false-positives.

I guess they think you have something wrong with you and you need to be fixed, Lol. It is funny how just because the government takes upon themselves to say this plant is ok to smoke, but this plant is bad to smoke most people say OH, OK. I wonder if when the government control freaks turn around and say you can smoke that plant now, that our families will go OH, OK it's alright to smoke now. Lol thanks for your comment friend and stuff them and bong on bro. :-)

That reminds me of my non-smoking sister.

So she was having a lot of stress from family issues. Her mother (I come from a different marriage) was going through all kinds of things and it was trickling down to my sister.

My smoker sister says, "You need to cool your shit, take this joint and calm the fuck down."

My non-smoker sister gave some reasoning that she wants to be able to tell her kids that she's never smoked before. So if they ask, "Mom, did you ever smoke pot?" then she can boldly say, "No, never!" But then the second after they ask and they're out of sight she's totally gonna light up and enjoy herself.

We could explore the stupidity of this on multiple levels. Like playing into the stereotype that smoking weed is bad, promoting the propaganda that you can't smoke and be successful, etc.

My older nephew is probably totally the type to not end up smoking, which is perfectly fine.

The younger one is more of the free spirit that's likely to end up being at least cool with cannabis, and I could totally see in a few couple of years having him in the smoke circles once he's old enough. So to him, if I were his guardian, I would probably just lay it straight, "Some people smoke some weed to relax, some because of medical or pain issues, don't do anything you don't want to."

So is your non smoking sister staying away from alcohol so she can tell the kids she's never had a drink. I am far more critical of a heavy drinker than someone smoking some weed, but I would never preach to them about it because that's their choice. But a lot of people feel quite justified in preaching about cannabis, yet alcohol is 10X more destructive. Thanks mate and bong on bro. :-)

Yes, but they don't know. :) I am essentially stoned all the time, I guess.

Well I guess that's the only you they know then, thanks mate and bong on bro. :-)
